Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing. Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing. Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning. The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.
COLDWATER - The St. Henry softball team rallied from two runs down and scored three runs over the final three innings to pull off a 3-2 victory over Coldwater in Midwest Athletic Conference play Thursday at Lady Cavalier Diamond.
Leadoff hitter Sidney Rindler scored the game-winning run in the top of the seventh on a passed ball at home. She finished the game with four walks and two runs. Rindler also pitched a complete-game five hitter with nine strikeouts. [More]

ST. MARYS - No one was injured in a fire Thursday afternoon that caused about $70,000 damage to a home in the city.
St. Marys City Fire Capt. Doug Ayers said damage to the one and a half-story home at 1025 Edwards St. was placed at $50,000 for the structure and another $20,000 for its contents.
ST. HENRY - Brian Kremer's infield single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth scored Jason Jacobs as St. Henry improved to 2-0 in Midwest Athletic Conference baseball action with a 4-3 win over Versailles at the Wally Post Athletic Complex on Thursday.
ROCKFORD - Sierra Fent threw her second career no-hitter and Zoey Pond cracked a three-run homer and doubled home the deciding run as Parkway defeated New Bremen 10-0 in a five-inning run-rule contest.
