Raymond Bergman
Raymond F. Bergman age 64 of Minster, Ohio passed away at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy, Ohio.
He was born on May 30, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond A. & Elizabeth (Buescher) Bergman. On May 31, 1975 in St. Augustine Church, Minster he married Ann Boeckman and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by two children: Raymond "Andy" Bergman of Cincinnati, and Julia & Zach Lee of Columbus; two grandsons: Booker & Isaiah Lee. He also survived by siblings: Greg & Betty Bergman of Minster, Katherine Bergman of Chicago, Sandy Grannen & Tim Schneider of Cincinnati, and Bethan & Dan Carson of Cincinnati; in-laws: James Boeckman of Dayton, Barb & Jack Wilson of Troy, Paul & Phyllis Boeckman of Dayton, Mark & Florence Boeckman of Atlanta, Kathy & Wayne Mullenix of Piqua, and Joe & Jane Boeckman of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Bergman.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Ray attended the Air Force Academy and graduated form Case Western University. He formerly worked as an applications programmer, and was an avid runner, even completing the Chicago Marathon. Ray was a family man and will be remembered as a loving husband, dad and "Pops" to his grandsons.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Monday, October 17 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Augustine Mission Commission.
