Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Lola Shaner
Lola Mae Shaner, age 87, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Friday Dec. 30, 2016 at her residence in Celina.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1929 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Kenneth & Mildred (Riley) Felver. On June 10, 1945 she married Charles R. Shaner, who died Nov. 13, 1989.
Survivors include her sons Phillip & Carol Shaner of St. Marys, Carl Shaner of Celina, David Shaner of St. Marys, Leonard Shaner and Sue of Eustis, Florida, a daughter Cathy & Terry Ruhenkamp of New Bremen, 5 grandchildren; Josh, Jeremiah, Carol, Stacey, Karen, 3 step grandchildren; Doug, Dallas, Troy, brothers James (Janice) Felver of Wapakoneta and her sister Norma of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Keith Edward Shaner, sisters Marie Felver and Wilma Brotherwood and her brothers Leroy Felver and Jerry Felver.
Lola retired from Huffy's Bicycle Plant in Celina after 26 years of service. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina with Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
