At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Douglas Hasselman

Douglas Edward Hasselman, age 56, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Fort Loramie, passed away December 7, 2016, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He was born November 29, 1960, in Sidney, Ohio, to Edward and Rita (Wendeln) Hasselman. Surviving are two siblings, Denise Templeton of Alpharetta, GA and Jayne and Frank Overman of New Bremen along with five nieces & nephews: Austin, Dylan & Haley Templeton and Hannah & Ty Overman.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Mr. Hasselman was a 1979 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He had been a tool & die maker. Doug liked to spend his leisure time outdoors and especially enjoyed boating and traveling.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie, with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

Memorials may be made to Redskin Memorial Park.
