Robert Beckman
Robert E. 'Coon' Beckman, age 78, of Coldwater, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born March 19, 1945 in Coldwater to the late Orlando & Leona (Buschur) Beckman.
He is survived by his four daughters, Christina (Brent) Muhlenkamp of St. Henry, Susan (Scott) Bills of Celina, Gayle (Leonard) Kahlig of Coldwater and Tricia (Zak) Sovek of Gibsonia, PA; the mother of his children Carolyn (Clune) of Coldwater; 8 grandchildren, Mitchell Muhlenkamp, Paige (Logan) Grapenthien, Tess Muhlenkamp and fiancé Donald Heitkamp, Alex Muhlenkamp, Maggie (Colin) Waltmire, Jack Bills, Ruby & Ivy Sovek; siblings and in laws, Mary Jane (Larry) Meier of Maria Stein, Neal Beckman & Tara Riesen of Celina and Marjorie Beckman of Columbus.
He is also preceded in death by siblings and in laws, Kenny Beckman, Connie Beckman and Margie (Bob) Klingshirn.
Bob retired from Crown Control, New Bremen. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard, he was a past commander of the Coldwater American Legion, served over 25 years on the Coldwater Fire Dept. and was a member of the Coldwater Eagles. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always good for a joke and a laugh. He also enjoyed classic cars, country music, and had over 1000 followers on Facebook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater from 3 to 7 pm Wednesday, December 27 and from 9 to 10 am Thursday, December 28.
