An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Richard Strickler
Richard L. Strickler, 79, of Middle Point, died at 7:15 p.m. July 10, 2006, at Celina Manor.
He was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Decatur, Ind., to Hobart and Esther August Strickler. On Nov. 15, 1947, he married Pauline Smith, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Barry, Middle point, and Doug A., Coldwater; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Mark in 1996; and two grandchildren.
He retired March 30, 1984, after 36 years of service at CASAD Depot, New Haven, Ind., where he was a fireman, checker and maintenance worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy stationed in Hawaii during World War II. He was a member of American Legion of Homer Pierson Post 207, Willshire.
Services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Robert Shook officiating. Burial is in Decatur Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion.
Calling is after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
