Retha Schell
Retha Schell, 73, 255 Marsh Drive, St. Marys, died at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Pruden, Tenn., to Elvin and Mary Orick. On Aug. 21, 1936, she married Donald L. Schell, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Lloyd E. (Virginia) Schell, St. Marys; two daughters, Linda L. Schell and Donna J. Schell, both of St. Marys; three sisters, Pearl Walker, Evelyn (Hewil) Teague and Judy (A. Clay) Beagle, all of St. Marys; and a brother, Verlin Orick, St. Marys.
Deceased are 12 siblings.
She worked as a cook at the former Happy Humpty Restaurant in St. Marys for many years.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, St. Marys, the Rev. Elmer Davis officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
