Mercer County commissioners have tapped a local agency to help administer a half million dollar grant for housing assistance for the needy.
Commissioners last week approved a resolution to contract with Sources Community Network Services of Celina for assistance with the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP). Sources will screen clients for eligibility and provide fair housing information and counseling services at rates outlined in the contract with the county. [More]

The Butler Township fire levy that is on November's general election ballot is a new five-year, 1.5-mill levy.
If passed, the funds will replace the department's current 2-mill levy that expires in December.

FINDLAY - Celina engaged with Shawnee in a battle of defense for three-quarters of its Division I girls soccer sectional matchup before getting two goals late to advance with a 2-0 win over the Indians at Graham Soccer Stadium in Findlay on Saturday night.
