GRAND LAKE - A company working to help solve Grand Lake's blue-green algae problem also is researching turning algae into jet fuel.
Ross Youngs, CEO of Algaeventure Systems, the Marysville-based company conducting the silica test on the lake, said data gathered from Grand Lake may be used in the company's study of jet fuel. [More]

April Vann wanted court to allow visitation with couple's children, documents show
CELINA - A Celina woman who was allegedly shot and killed by her estranged husband Friday had requested a No Contact Order against him be modified a few weeks ago to allow him to see his children.
Eight local residents were taken into custody this morning as Grand Lake Task Force members, Mercer County Sheriff's deputies and Celina Police officers went knocking on doors in search of drug offenders.

The Coldwater girls cross country team qualified for the Division II state cross country meet this Saturday in Columbus after finishing third at the Tiffin regional meet at Hedges-Boyer Park on Saturday.
