* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A lull in rainfall will continue for much of the day. However, additional storms will move into the area later this afternoon. The risk of heavy rainfall will be greatest tonight into early Friday morning. There is also the potential for storms to repeatedly move over the same locations, which increases flash flood risk.

Melissa Shoffstall
Melissa J. Shoffstall, 68, Saint Marys, died 2:08 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Saint Rita's Medical Center, Lima, after a long illness.
She was born March 23, 1949, in Celina, the daughter of Archie and Delores (Cotterman) Sawmiller. She married Jerry "Jake" Shoffstall on July 4, 1975, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her children: Denee "Dee" Rhodenbaugh of Saint Marys; Larry "George" (Jenny) Liggett of Saint Marys; David Liggett of Celina; Tracy Liggett of Saint Marys. She is survived by her 9 grandchildren: Eric, Ashley, Brittany, Shelby, Kiley, Hailey, Ryan, Megan, and Jenna. She is survived by her 12 great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her siblings: Nancy Thornsberry of Saint Marys; Archie Sawmiller of Spencerville; Donald Sawmiller of Saint Marys; Delores March of Michigan and Ron Sawmiller of Saint Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings Jack Sawmiller and Connie Sawmiller.
Melissa had worked at VFW Post 9289 for many years. She was a great cook and she liked fishing and gardening. She and Jake enjoyed going for rides and eating at new restaurants.
Funeral rites will be held 9:00 A.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at the funeral home.
